Staying true to our mission of supporting Afghan artisans, we employed Turquoise Mountain to handcraft complimentary wooden jewelry boxes for each of our pieces.
Turquoise Mountain is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2006 by Charles, Prince of Wales in partnership with former Afghan President Hamid Karzai. It is dedicated to the education and development of traditional Afghan arts and architecture and the regeneration of historic areas. Turquoise Mountain provides skills, employment, and a renewed sense of national identity to Afghan men and women.
The Turquoise Mountain institute, located in the old city of Kabul, has transformed the lives of budding Afghan artisans through its calligraphy, ceramics, jewelry-making, and woodworking programs.
